Stafford Heights Kindergarten is a not-for-profit, community-based kindy which welcomes children to grow and learn in our nurturing environment of personalised, play-based learning. Our program is run by caring, qualified educators, who have a passion for helping children thrive and become Prep ready.

Personalised, play-based learning
We place a great emphasis on building strong relationships with each child and nurturing their individual development through our play-based approach to learning. Children at Stafford Heights Kindergarten thrive on imaginative play with a broad range of experiences, resources and exciting natural environments to inspire them.

Highlights of the kindy year
Mindfulness
We practice mindfulness each day at Stafford Heights Kindy with a combination of yoga, pilates and meditation. Our Mindfulness program fosters children's well-being by teaching coping strategies for self-awareness, stress management, and overall wellness. Through quiet meditation, yoga, and reflective storytelling, children learn to appreciate and navigate their surroundings.
Art Show
Arts and crafts are a large part of our play-based learning. We hold an art show to display the children’s artwork and to enjoy the friendship and camaraderie that has evolved over the year between the children, families and community. This end of year celebration is a key event in our annual calendar.
Excursions and Shows
We love our varied excursions and incursions throughout the year. Our regular visits to Stafford Heights State School for Storytime, Dancing Delights, Under 8’s day introduce the children to school life. We also have visits from the Toothfairy Show, Henny Penny chicken hatchlings, Recycling Man, and more. We even get to visit other communities, including the Trevena Glen Farm, the museum or park for a special day out.
