The Queensland government requires community kindergartens to be affiliated with a central governing body - such as Lady Gowrie - to ensure Approved Kindergarten Program standards are met.

Lady Gowrie (QLD) Inc. is a not-for-profit early childhood organisation which, for over 70 years, has been a leader in providing early childhood programs, and currently oversees 95 early childhood service providers throughout Queensland.

The Lady Gowrie name in Queensland is synonymous with high quality and affordable early childhood services that promote a sense of emotional well being and social and cultural awareness for children, while supporting parents and enabling greater workforce participation.
